⁶² Then say, ‘O Lord, you yourself declared your firm resolve to destroy this place so that neither man nor beast will ever live here again; it will be a desolate waste forever.’

⁶³ “When you have finished reading this scroll, tie a stone to it and cast it into the middle of the Euphrates. ⁶⁴ Then say, ‘In the same way will Babylon sink, never again to rise because of the disaster I intend to inflict upon her.’ ”
